Bravery is knowing and loving ourselves for who we really are.
Hey, maybe you’re mostly fine.
Sure, there are things on your mind that feel heavier than you’d like… But you still get up in the morning and push it all to the back burner because – you know – you’ve got stuff to do.
And maybe those thoughts are popping up throughout the day… Some days, it happens more often than others. It can be really distracting, and that’s annoying. But still, you press on.
You spend most of your time juggling competing obligations and identities, fulfilling different roles to meet the needs of the people around you. You’ve accepted that this is just the way it is for someone like you—Someone thoughtful, who cares about their loved ones and wants to keep them happy. Right?
But gosh.
It’s starting to feel like A LOT to hold – isn’t it?
Put that heavy stuff down for a minute.
I’m serious.
Close your eyes and exhale. Let your shoulders drop. They were up around your ears again, weren’t they?
If they were, it’s okay! I understand. You’re probably trying really hard to show up for everyone else.
And that might be coming at the expense of your own peace.
I have a feeling it’s also standing in the way of you truly getting to know yourself.
But how can you take good care of yourself if you’re only guessing at who you are?
Spoiler, friend: you can’t.
You are your own expert. But I’m here to help.
I’m Ba. And I provide in-person and online therapy for teens and adults in Dallas and throughout Texas.
Wanting or needing therapy doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. And it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you, either.
It just means that something inside you is making it pretty clear that you’re destined for more. That anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, tough life transitions, or the challenges of living with neurodivergence like ADHD does not have to define who you are.
And that little voice telling you those things? Good news—it’s right! You are somebody beyond all of the confusion, the tough emotions, and the things you push aside just to start your day.
I know it can be hard to feel comfortable in our own skin when we don’t feel understood or accepted by our loved ones. In fact, it can look a lot like deep sadness, grief, and even mourning for the times before.

That’s where I come in.
Now, I can’t promise you a quick fix…
I can’t draw a road map or tell you exactly what to expect on the way.
But I can serve as your facilitator—your adventure guide!—on this awesome journey to learning who you are, what actually defines you, and finally feeling just how worthy you are of love and deep appreciation in this world.
It might not be easy… There’ll be more than a few mountains to climb.
But put on those hiking shoes, because knowing and embracing yourself is definitely worth it.
